Property is one of the largest
decisions anyone makes.

What we handle is land and buildings, but it is also somebody's life. That is why we have never wanted the signing of a contract to be the finish line, and it is the one thing about this company that has not changed since it was founded.

In a property transaction, the two sides rarely hold the same amount of information. Terminology, market rates, regulation, tax. We want our work to be closing that gap rather than trading on it. We hand over the favourable facts and the unfavourable ones alike, and the decision stays with you. It can look like the slower route. In our experience it is the only one that brings people back.

What it means to work in one place

Our business is rooted in a particular area. Doing this work in the same town for decades means that the reputation earned on one transaction comes back to you over the following ten years. We have been carried by referrals and by families returning to us, and we will keep choosing the long relationship over the immediate deal.

What comes next

As the population changes, we hear more each year about vacant properties and inherited homes. Brokerage alone cannot solve some of these cases, so we also buy, renovate and develop on our own account. Finding a new role for a building that has fallen out of use, and keeping it as part of the streetscape, is a business — but it is also how we repay a town that has let us trade here.

We want to be the company that comes to mind first when someone is unsure about their home. That is earned one job at a time.
